The thick applications of oil paint (impasto) brings the tree to life, creating a tactile, almost three-dimensional surface. The palette remains rooted in naturalistic tones, but the application — heavy, confident, gestural — transforms a simple tree motif into a compelling study of form, texture and light. Jörgen Palle Jensen (1931–2000) was a Danish-Swedish artist, primarily known for his paintings and lithographs. He was born in Denmark but later lived and worked in Sweden.
