Modernist oil painting of a landscape with grass and rocks and a stone crusher. Oil on panel, signed and dated (1951).
This landscape is characterized by clean color panes and an atmospheric depiction of light. Hörlin embraces bold colors (ochres and purples next to the gray of the rocks) and form, emphasizing that the ambiance of the painting is more important than the perfect depiction of the stone crusher.
The painting is cleaned and comes with a complimentary wooden frame. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition but may show some age-related wear and tear, which largely contributes to their charm. The best way to see this is through the photos, so study them because they form the description.
Size: 54 x 36 cm (with frame)
