Beautiful soft pastel tones create a charming setting of a lush garden in summer. The painter skillfully used gouache paint to create almost geometric panels with a single color, while making ‘lines’ by leaving the linen blank. This can be seen if you look through the backside of the painting (see photos). In combination with the vintage gilded frame, this charming piece will stand out in your interior.
The painting is surface cleaned and comes with a complementary gilded wooden frame. Both painting and frame are in good vintage condition but show some age-related wear and tear, which largely contributes to their charm.
