Hult (1922- 2012) painted this charming scene with just a few strokes of black paint, laying out the of contours of the town. Added blues, reds, greens and even some pinks created a layered piece of art.
The painting is cleaned and the complementary wood frame is restored and updated. Both painting and frame may show some age-related wear and tear, which largely contributes to their charm. The best way to see this is through the photos, so study them because they form the description.

About the artist:
Torsten Hult was trained at Malmö School of Painting, and schools in Copenhagen and Stockholm, and took study trips to France, Spain, Germany, Austria and Norway. He exhibited at Norrköping Museum; several galleries in Stockholm; the Swedish Art Society, the Hälsingborg Art Association and the Skånes Art Association. Examples of Hult’s works are held in the collections of Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Helsingborg and Malmö Museums, Borås Art Museum and the Skissen Museum in Lund.
